Supervisors have specific obligations to ensure compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related university policies. The FLSA establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards.
This track will review topics including: supervisor and employee responsibilities, what counts as time worked and when time is compensable, and discuss timekeeping, overtime and compensatory time, paid leave, and other provisions that need to be managed by our supervisors.
